Bromley Park Care Home creates beautiful Remembrance wreath for Biggin Hill

Back in February we reported that Bromley Park Care Home would be working with Biggin Hill Memorial Museum to help them make some poppies for the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which would be displayed in their Chapel.

Sadly, the pandemic has interfered with some of these plans, but our residents have helped our staff make a lovely poppy wreath – we think you’ll agree it’s a beautiful tribute to those who have lost their lives in wartime.

Our Facilities Manager Donna Hough delivered the wreath this morning to Biggin Hill where she met the Director of the museum, Katie Edwards and her lovely dog.

She was delighted with the wreath and will be displaying it in the Chapel for the service on 11 November.

We are all looking forward to visiting the museum again when lockdown is lifted and will be enjoying more poppy crafts this week, as our residents love to be involved with them.
