We were excited to get out our best china and cake stands last week, when we held a special tea party at Bromley Park Care Home to raise money for Macmillan Nurses.
Our Parisian theme was beautiful – with pretty floral serviettes, birdcage centre pieces and bunting. And our colour-coordinated cakes looked stunning in pinks and yellows, with lots of chocolate, and of course some French fancies! Delicious!
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and people all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2018 the charity raised an incredible £26,914,382 and they are aiming to top that this year.
Our residents, relatives, friends and staff all enjoyed a lovely afternoon together and we were delighted to raise £85 for such an important cause.
