Our residents at Bromley Park Care Home were busy painting plant pots and jars with bright coloured paints on Saturday 27 April, all in preparation for entering our group-wide gardening festival – Nellsar in Bloom.
We are excited for the warmer weather to arrive so we can make a start in the garden.
Each month, there will be a creative theme for the festival:
- Grow your own strawberries – June
Plant and nurture strawberries to use in an event or dish at your Home. - Unusual flower container – July
Create an imaginative flower container. - Themed garden – August
Design colourful, fun and creative gardens, large or small-scale, indoors or out. - Wildlife engagement – September
Encourage ‘all creatures great and small’ into the garden and help them to thrive through feeders, planting and housing.
