Sunday scones
To kick off Nutrition and Hydration Week (14-20th March), we served a delicious Sunday morning tea and scones for our residents at Bromley Park Care Home.
It was the perfect way to start the day; fresh scones with clotted cream and jam were served, as well as a selection of teas. What bliss!
Dorothy certainly enjoyed every mouthful!
Special biscuit treats
As part of the week’s celebrations, our Chefs wanted to create something special for our residents who are on a textured diet.
Chef Rijo made a selection of level 4 biscuits – puréeing the biscuit to the correct consistency and using moulds in the shape of a Bourbon biscuit, a custard cream and a coconut biscuit, to create fantastic and delicious replicas!
We are incredibly proud of our Chefs and our entire kitchen team, who go above and beyond for our residents. Well done to them all!
We also hosted a tea tasting morning as part of our ‘nutrition and hydration’ themed activities. It’s so important for our residents to be able to choose their beverages. Everyone loves a cup of builder’s tea, but we all enjoyed tasting the different flavours!
