Children send heartwarming letters to Bromley Park Care Home

Our residents and staff at Bromley Park Care Home have been receiving some fabulous and very thoughtful letters from school children and friends, with encouraging messages and some wonderful drawings.

They have brought a smile to each and every face who reads the lovely words and sees the beautiful colourful pictures that have been made.

Some of the posters we’ve received have come from the ‘Only Connect’ project which has linked up pen pals and Care Homes in response to the current situation and are asking pen pal partners to send messages of support including letters, postcards, artwork and/or poems to Care Homes via email, which is such a wonderful thing to do and we’ve all loved receiving them.

We received a lovely letter and some beautiful canvas rainbow paintings from our local Shortlands Hub Nursery, who are children of key workers. It was very touching for all the residents and staff to see. It makes us feel that sense of community spirit and how everyone is pulling together and looking out for each other.

We’ve also received some homemade soap and candles too! People have been so kind and supportive during this difficult time. A huge thank you to everyone who has sent in messages of support and gifts to us – every single one is much appreciated.
