On Friday 1 February we had lots of fun hosting our Dignity Day ‘Digni-tea’ party at Bromley Park Care Home.
The afternoon was filled with lots of laughter and music, as we all enjoyed each other’s company.
Our table was filled with our lovely tea service and there were lots of different herbal teas on offer, not to mention an abundance of cream cakes of course, beautifully displayed on cake stands. And so many good ones – delicious!
Dignity Action Day takes place annually to highlight the importance of ensuring people who use care services are treated with dignity, and are given choice, independence and control in their daily lives.
To mark the special day, we created a colourful Dignity Tree display, made up of an explosion of colourful leaves, many containing the words which sum up ‘Dignity’ to us, including ‘choice‘, ‘understanding‘, ‘honesty‘ and ‘compassion‘.
