On Sunday 25 May, our Bromley Park Care Home residents ventured outside into our lovely garden, and as the sun dappled the lawn, they spent time working their green fingers and also expressing their artistic talents.
Our jobs included watering the plants, tiding our flower beds and checking on the tomatoes – all whilst enjoying some wonderful fresh air. Our residents love to be outside in the twilight ensuring the well being of their plants and watching the wildlife.
Whilst the weather has been so good, our ladies and gents have been using the garden as inspiration for their art, sitting in the sunshine, enjoying the camaraderie of being together. The birds have been singing in the trees and our flowers nodding in the gentle breeze – a perfect scene to use as a backdrop for some amazing works of art! What a talented group we have.
One of our residents stretched his legs a little further afield, and went into town for a cup of tea and a generous slice of cake which he thoroughly enjoyed. We love to spoil our residents, and enjoy seeing them indulge a sweet tooth, both in and outside our Home – they deserve it! After all, they bring so much love into our lives, it’s just lovely being able give back when we can.
Until our next adventure…!
