Music and cake celebrations
We were all very excited to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last week at Bromley Park Care Home.
Our catering team created an exquisite crown cake in honour of her majesty’s 70 year reign – not only was it splendid to look at, but it was delicious as well.
On Friday we were entertained by singer Anna Broadly with all our residents and staff’s favourite songs. Everyone joined in dancing, singing, eating and drinking.
It was such a great atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Jubilee picnic and tea party
On Saturday we celebrated with an indoor picnic – and there were plenty of snacks, drinks and delicious treats on offer.
We followed this on Sunday with a special Jubilee tea party when we served scones, sandwiches and tea – all beautifully presented. Kathy enjoyed a cup of team, while Eddie and Ken enjoyed their scones with clotted cream, strawberry and marmalade jam. Delicious!
It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all. We think her majesty would have approved!
