With the arrival of autumn, and to help with the preparation of our new menu, our residents at Bromley Park Care Home participated in a menu sample tasting activity recently.
Our ladies and gents have always had a huge input in our menu choices at Bromley Park and we wanted to show you how we make this happen.
On admission to our Home, our Catering and Nutritional Team take note of residents’ likes and dislikes and we can adjust the menu to their wishes. We prepare each meal according to what texture of diet they may need, and have a selection of puréed option snacks on offer.
For the tasting session, we wanted to try out some new dishes; traditional Irish stew, Chinese chicken, extra creamy lasagne, herby mashed potato, special fried rice and winter vegetable pasta.
The meals were a huge hit with our residents – the smiles on their faces say it all! Rita loved the Chinese chicken, Ellen was impressed with the Irish stew, John gave a firm thumbs up and Donald was enjoying all the food!
