We were very excited to see the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus arrive in the car park at Bromley Park Care Home today, 31 August.
The Virtual Dementia Tour is taken by over 200,000 people per year in the UK. It is a simulated training experience giving care staff an idea of some of the symptoms of Dementia. It promotes empathetic understanding and increases the team’s knowledge of the issues that people living with Dementia experience.
The training gives staff the opportunity to ‘walk in the shoes’ of someone living with Dementia – a unique experience using sensory technology to simulate the challenges that some of our residents face.
We are certain that this training will help the teams continue to provide excellent care for our residents at Bromley Park.
