What a special day we had here at Bromley Park Care Home for VE Day on Friday 8 May.
We enjoyed decorating our Home with Union Jack bunting, flags and poppies and the day was filled with singing, dancing and reminiscing about the war with our ladies and gentlemen.
We welcomed a beautiful singer called Rachel to our Home who performed some VE-inspired songs from our garden which our residents and staff really enjoyed. She looked stunning in her red and black 1940s outfit.
Our Chefs made an amazing red, white and blue iced cake and some delicious cupcakes too – all themed for the day. They went down a treat!
Everyone had a lovely day from start to finish. Big thanks to Rachel for entertaining us so well, we look forward to seeing her again.
