Macmillan coffee afternoon
Here at Bromley Park Care Home we helped to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research by hosting a coffee afternoon last week.
We all enjoyed tucking in to delicious slices of cake and having a chat over teas and coffees. Everyone had a lovely afternoon and some of our residents and family members spent time in the garden as the weather was lovely.
During the course of the afternoon we were delighted to raise £111 for the charity from kind donations – thank you so much to everyone who gave so generously.
Care Home visit
On Wednesday 27 September one of our residents was supported to make an outing to visit a previous Home where they had lived prior to moving in to Bromley Park. This was a very person-centred activity organised by our Activity Coordinator Sam.
When we arrived at the previous Home you could see from the facial expression of our resident that they were happy and throughout the visit you could see that they really enjoyed seeing the previous staff; it was very special to witness lots of engagement through eye contact and facial expressions.
