Olympic Games fun in the garden
On Wednesday 28 July at Bromley Park Care Home, we celebrated our own version of the Tokyo Olympics Games 2021.
Our spectators – our residents – were excited to watch all the games and were ready to cheer us on with their Union Jacks in hand, with lots of laughter and excitement.
Our staff were the ‘athletes’ and our first game was the tug of war, followed by the egg and spoon race and finally the sack race. Our tug of war game was a particular favourite with both our athletes and spectators, with lots of team spirit!
Such a fun day with so much going on – and our timing was perfect, as just as the games ended it started to rain!
Baking biscuits
Several of our residents enjoyed making biscuits recently with Donna from our Recreation and Well-being Team.
They mixed the ingredients, before they were shaped and baked.
The tasty treats were ready to eat at teatime – delicious!
Jenga fun
Monika from our Recreation and Well-Being Team has spent time with Dorothy playing Jenga.
They’ve had fun with the stacking game and discussing the wood and its smell; Dorothy really enjoyed the sensory side of the activity.
