Christian from ‘Ballet in the Park‘ visited us at Bromley Park Care Home on Thursday 3 June.
He came to give our residents a taster ballet session in our garden, where they enjoyed all aspects of a ballet routine;
- Warmup – a sequence that allowed our residents to centre themselves in their body and find their coordination and balance.
- Barre – various exercises which focused on simultaneously building strength and mobility.
- Stretch – a sequence that allowed the muscles worked during Barre to relax and release.
- Adage – a short routine which allowed our residents to apply what they had learned in Barre and express themselves to the music.
Everyone really enjoyed themselves, especially Tony who took centre stage!
