Bromley Park Care Home win Alexa in Music for Dementia competition

Back in May, Bromley Park Care Home entered a competition to win an Amazon Alexa in partnership with Music 4 Dementia and The Utley Foundation. Much to ours and our residents’ delight – we won!

The Utley Family Charitable Trust was established in May 2014; it has broad charitable objectives and primarily donates to causes that are close to the hearts of the trustees including Music for Dementia. The Foundation has been supporting and championing the use of music and music therapy to improve the quality of life of people living with dementia since its inception;

“We are taking the lead by creating a national task force made up of stakeholders from across the music and dementia fields to embed music into all dementia care pathways. Our goal is simple – we want to make music available for everyone living with dementia by 2020.”

Everyone here at Bromley Park is so grateful for this wonderful prize, which comes with a six-month Amazon Music-Unlimited subscriptionamazing! We can’t wait to bring more music and enjoyment to our residents’ lives with our fabulous Amazon Echo Show 5.

Thank you so much to Lizzie Cody (Foundation Manager) and everyone at The Utley Foundation.
