On Saturday we all watched the coronation of King Charles III at Bromley Park Care Home and celebrated like Zara Tindall!
Our staff and residents grabbed their best china and front row seats to watch the historic event which streamed throughout our Home.
Some of our residents reminisced about the last coronation of our dear Queen Elizabeth; it was lovely to hear their stories and how life has changed over the last 70 years. The ‘three cheers‘ celebration for King Charles was really moving and the new Princess of Wales looked beautiful.
We were also busy creating our own gold state coach for our kings and queens at Bromley Park. Well done Lou!!!
On Sunday, our street party really was the best day ever! We were entertained by the amazing Anna Broadley, who has been singing at Bromley Park for many years and is a fond favourite of our residents and staff. The food prepared by our amazing catering team was both beautiful and plentiful.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed themselves, singing and dancing with our residents, relatives and friends and we all demonstrated the Great British spirit which makes our Home so wonderful.
Thank you to Sam, Louisa and Crystal from our Recreation and Well-being Team for putting together such an incredible day and everyone who came along to help us celebrate the coronation weekend – we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
