Seasonal crafts
Our residents at Bromley Park Care Home really enjoyed making a winter wonderland scene together this week.
Engin and Rita covered an old box lid in paper, then using polystyrene balls and cocktail sticks, made some jolly snowmen. Using a pen, they drew faces and buttons and added pipe cleaners for the scarfs and pompoms for the hats.
Plenty of glitter was used to make it look like snow and Rita wound cotton around lolly sticks to stick to the cloud.
Our residents really had fun making this display and we have all enjoyed admiring the final piece.
Reading club
We’ve also held our reading club which is very much enjoyed by some of our residents.
Janet and Colin love reading – you can see the joy in Janet’s face. They had a lovely time with their books; Janet was reading an interesting fictional story and Colin was reading about the Ashes as he likes cricket.
It’s lovely to see our ladies and gents engaging in pastimes they’ve always loved.
